The Violence in Paramedicine Research Group is a collaboration between Peel Regional Paramedic Services and the University of Windsor. Together with a growing list of industry and community partners, we are committed to developing evidence-informed policy that:
- Mitigates the risk of violence against paramedics
- Supports paramedics who have been affected
- Strengthens paramedic and community safety at emergency calls with a high risk of violence
Led by co-principal investigators Justin Mausz and Dr. Elizabeth Donnelly, we undertake robust, translational research on the prevalence of violence against paramedics, its risk factors and the health consequences for paramedics.
